Sherrie Armstrong has served as the President and CEO of the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond since July 2015. The Foundation holds $1 billion in assets with a staff of 45 and an impact focus on educational success, economic prosperity, health and wellness and community vibrancy. The Foundation holds over 900 funds and is responsible for facilitating their philanthropy and contributions across the region.
She has held executive leadership positions in the nonprofit sector for over 30 years including 26 years with United Way. Her current board positions include Grow Capital Jobs, Chamber RVA, The Forum Club, and 757-RVA Partnership.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from West Virginia University.
