What Lucy does at the Foundation:
Focus Areas: Educational Success (early childhood through elementary school), Community Vibrancy (museums and natural resources)
In her role as Community Engagement Officer, Lucy helps strengthen established relationships with community partners and encourages honest discussions about Richmond's nonprofit sector. She is passionate about education, with a particular interest in early childhood, and sees the wholistic, integrated approach of the Community Foundation's focus areas as a means to truly accomplish positive change in our region. Connecting with donors and local partners invigorates Lucy, and she sees that as an effective conduit to foster community engagement.
When Lucy’s not working:
You can find her singing in concerts with the Richmond Symphony Chorus, or solo during a Flying Squirrels baseball game, or at a local church! In addition to singing, Lucy enjoys volunteering with many community organizations through HandsOn Greater Richmond and with Habitat for Humanity. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and visiting Bethany Beach, DE on vacation. An avid “anything-Maryland” fan, she loves the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, Maryland Terrapins and any crab-involved dish!
