What Christina does at the Foundation:
Christina serves as the Foundation’s Director of Civic Engagement. In this role, she helps ensure that HandsOn Greater Richmond effectively mobilizes community members who are willing to give back, while also equipping nonprofit partners with the tools needed to best utilize their volunteers. Christina wants volunteers to experience meaningful interactions with nonprofits and hopes to encourage deeper engagement through board service and continued investment. Likewise, she hopes nonprofits are able to best leverage community members to champion their cause and maximize impact.
Additionally, she is working with the Foundation’s three giving networks (Impact 100 Richmond, SisterFund and Ujima) to help members become invested in the organizations they fund. A natural system builder, Christina thrives as a connector between community members and organizations to create lasting, positive change.
When Christina’s not working:
She can be found spending time with her family in their Church Hill neighborhood. She loves the “urban life” and enjoys exploring the many shops and restaurants within walking distance of her home. Christina has a 12- and 15-year-old, so she and her husband can often be found transporting their children to various activities and sporting events.
