What Stephanie does at the Foundation:
As Senior Program Officer, Stephanie manages the Community Foundation’s extensive portfolio related to education initiatives. Through strategic planning around early education, graduation rates and the cradle-to-career pipeline, Stephanie identifies community needs and solutions and she proactively coordinates resources to create measurable and sustainable results.
Stephanie also serves as the lead staff for the Giving Black: Greater Richmond study. This initiative will create perspective in understanding philanthropy in Black communities by spotlighting the contexts, conditions and capital investments needed to transform the cycle of philanthropy in Black communities. In her role, Stephanie oversees the study’s day-to-day operations, manages key partnerships and establishes a workflow cadence with the structure and direction needed for this groundbreaking analysis of Black philanthropy in our region.
When Stephanie’s not working:
She’s making memories with her two-year-old son, Gerald, and spending time with her family and friends. Her dedication to community service includes serving on nonprofit boards and volunteering with organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Stephanie is a proud alumna of Wilberforce University and has settled into Richmond as her home for over 13 years.
