Richmond Area Nonprofits Partner with CDC Foundation to Crush Covid-19 in the Latino Community

Despite making up only about 6% of Richmond’s population, the Latino community experienced the highest number of positive COVID-19 cases, which hovered around 35% for months. While we’ve seen some improvement, disparities still exist throughout the region.

Community Foundation launches pilot program for skills-based volunteering

“Skills-based volunteering isn’t new, but it can be difficult to coordinate, so Skills Connect makes it easier for volunteers to connect with the organizations they’re interested in — and easier for nonprofits to find volunteers who are qualified for specialized projects,” said Alan Delbridge, Nonprofit Program Manager with the Community Foundation.
