Learning and Leadership Development
We believe that strong, skilled leaders are essential to building sustainable nonprofit organizations and a healthy, thriving community.
The Community Foundation’s learning and leadership offerings are designed with a commitment to continuous learning, high-quality programming and an exceptional learner experience.
In creating and promoting curriculum, we strive to connect learners to industry-leading subject matter experts as our facilitators and instructors. Together, our goal is to provide you with current and compelling insights, information and tools that can be applied to your work immediately. Visit the Learning Center
Our programming centers around professional learning and leadership development, with emphasis on supporting managers, executives and board members through convening, learning, and leadership opportunities.
Types of Events
Based on feedback from the community, we’re excited to facilitate opportunities for convening, and offer a greater variety of learning formats.
Convening – By partnering together, we can help address important topics that need a network of support to change. This will be reflected in timely workshops on newly emerging trends, networking events and salons.
Learning – Workshops, day-long courses, and special events will expand skill sets and capitalize on talent through practical application for executives, managers, and board members.
Leadership – Leadership programs like the Emerging Nonprofit Leaders Program, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network RVA (YNPN), and board governance programming will equip leaders to create positive change in our region.
